Simple really – not enough of the public knew about it and/or wanted to use it.

As for what comes next, I agree that it has been made to look like a relatively soft exit. I imagine that if Google do look at the sector again, it might be more through acquisition than R&D though.

And I for one am a little suprised. Reading through comments on various blogs everyone is reading into the google announcement and tryring to decipher various comments, namely that google are still loooking into real estate. But at the end of the day I am guessing it is as they say, it just didn’t gather momentum. Why? I wonder how many agents in the UK for example actually signed up to Base and submitted properties? What next then …..

Glad to see the success you’re having Lorna. Would be interested to know what you’ve had to do relating to data protection laws on information sharing, etc?

We’ve written about this too. For agents that need to work on their Google Places profile, take a look at our blog from July:

Well, that clip is over 18 months old now.. We’re in negotiations with a Dubai agent right now and from what they tell us, the market is normalising again. There are also some *incredibly* strict laws over there.

In reply to - Inge Gaitskill posted an update: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qe4vTcGAWBc I looked at this clip about properties in Dubai and it seems like a concern to most investers, I would love to hear your thoughts? · View

We spoke to Tim and a number of other buyer’s agents at this time last year while investigating putting out a customised version of PropertyADD, based on the belief that the model is a growing trend in the UK. In the end we’ve been too busy to do much more with the idea just yet, [...]

I’m not sure, I’ve tried to contact everyone I know there, but got no response. They do appear to be maintaining Ageants, but there’s nothing much interesting happening on there..

They don’t seem to be, no – no blog updates in months. They were so paper thin for the last year or so that I wouldn’t have said they were a big loss! SQM magazine seem to have gone pop too. No one answers their phones – and I still don’t know if they published the last article we wrote for them!

EAT obviously made a big dent, but Negotiator and PropertyDrum still seem to be going pretty strong.

No Spain are going to win! bad luck though Martin. Who ever got England will be next to join you (What a pathetic shower that team is, makes you embarrassed to be English so I fall back on my Latin blood and root for Spain to win)

Mr Owl can that draw list be copied over to the group and added as a forum thread then it’s easier to keep tabs on who has which team.

Thank you! Now could you sort out that team of ours with a little pep talk, might like to point out to them that just one or two goals would help and wouldn’t be asking too much of players earning £120,000 pounds a week.
